PrairieFire is pleased to support a plan of reorganization for Front Sight Management, LLC (“Front Sight”). To understand the plan and its impact on members, it is critical to understand our long-term vision.
We want to make the current Front Sight location the pre-eminent shooting destination in the world.
We plan significant financial investment in the facility. In addition to the existing ranges, we plan to develop shooting courses that do not exist outside of elite military training installations. Our build-out plans also include long-range and Helo shooting experiences.
In addition, PrairieFire’s Q Academy training curriculum is deeply rooted in the special operations training of the elite military and adapted for civilians. We believe that our competitions and championships will define the shooting industry, as well as provide a destination for industry leaders to connect with our members.
The bedrock of our vision is to embrace the existing Front Sight members and welcome them into PrairieFire. To date, we have studied and evaluated the large Front Sight membership from a distance. We recognize that the numerous members were each attracted to Front Sight for many different reasons and motivations. In our plan, we have done our best to address those known motivations and mirror the various membership groups in a Plan adapted for the PrairieFire vision and offerings.
PrairieFire, through its wholly owned subsidiary FS DIP, LLC, is a lender to the Chapter 11 bankruptcy of Front Sight Management, LLC. In conjunction with that financing, PrairieFire entered into an agreement to acquire Front Sight’s reorganized business, which agreement is currently pending approval before the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada. The business includes approximately 550 acres of real estate. Our desire and intent is to bring our PrairieFire/Stagecoach activities to the current Front Sight location.
We are a new company led by a team of former elite military operators, law-enforcement leaders, and competitive shooters elevating our passion to energize and better the 2A experience and industry. Our service to our country has shaped our collective perspective and approach to both life and shooting – and instilled us with the principles we live by. We are honored to live in the greatest country in the world. Most importantly, we cherish honesty and directness, and treat everyone in the manner we hope to be treated.
Our long-term vision is simple: Evolve the current Front Sight location into the world’s pre-eminent shooting destination experience. We are also building a similar destination experience in Texas – in Williamson County just north of Austin.
Our vision is to provide the 2A community with analogous experiences achieved in other industries. For families, the pinnacle is visiting Disney World. In golf, it is a trip to Pebble Beach or Augusta. For NASCAR, it is the week of fun and activities at Daytona or Charlotte Speedway. For Formula One, it is the experience of Monte Carlo. For football, it is the Super Bowl and the experiences in the days leading up to the big game.
Every great sport has its special place – shooting does not. We intend to establish PrairieFire Nevada as that magical place for shooters.
No. Dr. Piazza does not, and will not, have any direct or indirect ownership of FS DIP, LLC,
Nevada PF, LLC or PrairieFire Nevada. Our entities above (and all of their affiliated entities) are
100% independent of any ownership by Dr. Piazza. We only came to know of Dr. Piazza during
this bankruptcy process. We have also submitted declarations to the bankruptcy court affirming
The pre-existing business model and pricing structure proved to be unsustainable. PrairieFire’s
business model will balance our vision of creating the best shooting experience in the world with the
desires of many members to be able to shoot as inexpensively as possible. Thus, we will dedicate a few
ranges for “range rep” and basic instruction. This benefit will be free for 2 years and then cost $200 a
year for current Front Sight members.
PrairieFire also plans to invest tens of millions of dollars into upgrading the facility. In addition to the
existing ranges, PrairieFire plans to develop shooting courses adapted from elite military installations –
and such courses are not currently accessible to civilians. We also plan significant investment around the
build out of long-range and Helo shooting experiences.
We also plan to build a clubhouse for our community of 2A enthusiasts. We believe we are building
something that will ultimately be the most special, sought-after destination for 2A enthusiasts and
people will be proud to be a part of something unique.
PrairieFire plans to allocate a significant portion of the Front Sight acreage for the development of a residential community, offering all PrairieFire Members, a place to live on a long-term, seasonal basis or short-term basis. This residential development is subject to the review and approval of the local authorities.
Our previous track record includes ownership of nearly 50 RV/Mobile Home communities, as
well as building planned communities.
PrairieFire plans to open for business and start new membership within days of taking ownership of the
current Front Sight assets. The legal documents filed with the bankruptcy court currently contemplate
December 1, 2022 as the target date for confirmation and closing. It is important to us that there is
continuity of the shooting assets.
While PrairieFire will continue to offer much of the basic training currently offered at Front
Sight, we plan to migrate our primary curriculum to our Q Academy offerings. The Q Academy is
our comprehensive training curriculum derived from military special operations training and
adapted for civilians. The best training in the world is provided by the US military, which is our
model for PrairieFire. It is a significant step above anything else offered anywhere, including
PrairieFire will be investing tens of millions of dollars to enhance the current Front Sight facilities. This
investment will result in Courses that go well beyond the typical flat ranges the Front Sight members
have grown accustomed. We also plan to build out long-range and helo-shooting experiences, and
countless new amenities and facilities upgrades. We believe once members taste the joy of being trained
to military standards by the very best, they will understand our vision.
If members want to just shoot – no training there are two options: 1) free at the two ranges for reps and
2) running courses for $250 per day, which is on par cost-wise with even marginal ranges that do not
have the courses or experiences we will offer.
The 2A community is currently among the most underserved groups of people. Although half of
all Americans own a gun, we do not have marquee sports championship events that unite our
community. PrairieFire plans to change that.
We recently announced the $1 million 2023 PrairieFire Rank Championship with the largest cash
prize pool ever awarded in the industry. Our plan is to host this groundbreaking event in
Pahrump, Nevada. As a road to this $1 million 2023 PrairieFire Championship, we are hosting
the $100,000 Rank Championship at our sister facility at end of October 2022 in Texas. This will
be the largest purse ever in shooting sports.
Our 2023 calendar of competitions also includes the $1 Million 2023 PrairieFire SWAT
Championship, the 2023 PrairieFire Law Enforcement RANK Championship, and numerous other
individual and team competitions – all planned to be hosted at Prairie Fire Nevada.
Our dream is to establish PrairieFire Nevada as that magical destination for shooters and the
home of the 2A’s equivalent to the annual Super Bowl.
While competitions will be an important part of the PrairieFire business, we plan to invest
significantly into enhancing our training facilities, offering new experiences and amenities for
our members. Our goal is to grow our training, and not to de-emphasize it.
